Sheilah will introduce you to Sashiko, a decorative Japanese embroidery technique that is widely used in quilting. You will make a mug rug from a selection of four patterns and be taught how to transfer the pattern to fabric and the stitch formation.
Sheilah is a well-known tutor in the UK Quilting community and has for many years conducted workshops and given talks at the Festival of Quilts. She regularly contributes to “Patchwork and Quilting” and has had her work published in the journals of both the British and the American Quilt study groups.
To avoid disappointment, we suggest that you pre-book your place(s) to secure your spot!
Please don’t forget to book your ticket to the fair as entry is not included in the workshop fee.
