We have a superb new venue and new date for the Makit LQ&N (Lacemaking, Quilting and Needlework) Fair!

Whether you’re a long-time textile crafter or an enthusiastic beginner your visit to a Makit Fair will be a fantastic day out for you, your family and friends.

You will get all the wonderful traders and exhibits you have come to love at our Fair, and you’ll have the opportunity to browse stall after stall of threads, fabrics, tools and accessories for lacemaking, quilting and all needlecrafts.

We are working on compiling the list of this years traders and details will be published shortly on the website.

The Quilters Guild Region 9 Competition 2019

We are delighted to announce that we will be displaying the entries to The Quilters Guild Region 9 Competition 2019 at the Makit LQ&N Fair.

The competition has as its theme “A Little Bit of Red in 40 inches Square” in celebration of the Ruby (40th) Anniversary of the Quilters Guild of the British Isles.

The competition is open to members of Region 9 of all levels of experience from beginners to advanced. As well as winners chosen by the judging panel visitors to the fair will be asked to vote for their favourite entry.

Makit Fairs are pleased to sponsor the competition prizes which include:

1st Prize: A sewing machine trolley, storage bags and a selection of Presencia Quilting threads and Prym quilting accessories to the retail value of £250!

2nd Prize: A transit bag for your stash and a selection of Presencia Quilting threads and Prym quilting accessories to the retail value of £150!

3rd Prize: A large Olfa cutting board, safety cutter and spare blades to the retail value of £100!
