Makit LQ&N Christmas Fair, Cranmore Park

Welcome to the Makit Christmas Fair

Once again you will find a vast array of the specialist suppliers of the threads, fabrics, beads, tools and accessories that you require to practice your textile related craft all under one roof at this the forth Makit LQ&N Christmas Fair.

Whether you’re a passionate lacemaker, quilter, knitter, embroiderer or just have an interest in needlecrafts, you’re bound to find suppliers for your latest project - just imagine how convenient it will be for you to stock up on those essential supplies without having to scour the internet and buy something you haven’t seen.

Like all Makit Fairs, the LQ&N Christmas fair is being held in a fantastic venue that offers easy access, free parking and plenty of space for all of our traders. This means that they can display a wider range of stock and demonstrate its uses, while you will have more space to browse each stand without being crushed and pushed along by the crowd.

To make this the perfect day out for you and your family we have added three major exhibitions, workshops and “make and take “opportunities. Learn new techniques from some of the UK’s most respected textile crafters or chat to people in the workshops who are at the ability level as you in your chosen crafts.

New for 2018 – Workshops at the LQ&N Christmas Fair!

At this year’s fair you will have the opportunity to take part in one of our fantastic workshops.

Our workshops led, by recognised regional and national tutors, provide an easy introduction to various textile craft techniques. Whether you want to create a Christmas candle with Kay Dennis, experience Bedfordshire lace with Louise West, or try Fair Isle knitting with Julie Harris. You are guaranteed to come away with a completed piece of work to take home and enjoy! And just in case you are unable to complete the work, we provide an instruction leaflet to enable you to complete the piece at home.

Relax and recharge your batteries in the Restaurant and café area’s on the first floor and adjacent to the traders hall where you will find a selection of savouries, sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold food and drinks.

We even open the door half an hour before the fair opens in order that you might enjoy a cup of tea or coffee after your journey and to put yourself in the mood for shopping. These are also ideal spaces to catch up with your crafting friends, enjoy a leisurely chat or look through your favourite crafting purchases while you rest your feet and have a cupper.
